About Us

Worthington Orchards was established in 1984 as a peach orchard. Over time it became apparent that diversification would be needed to overcome the adversities of fickle Texas weather. Summer vegetables were added in the 1990's. In 2003, trellised blackberries were added and expanded the following year. In the fall of 2003 the first strawberry crop was planted. These were well received, and we have increased production annually since 2005. The gift shop was built by the owner, Dr. Jody and filled by his wife (of 50 + years) Mary for the 2004 season.
